JOKERMAN

I loved this trio. I read all three books the same week, could not stop, as it was very addictive. I wanted to hoard the last book and read later but that is not possible with this series, you want to know what the future is for all of these tough characters. Just bought the fourth book but waiting a few days for the experience to begin again. You will not be disappointed, these books are great and you really like the characters, after you read these, go on to Tom Lowe and Jake Needham and Woods Reef.Product details

I like to read books with a series hero - i found this series and like British themes as an alternative to US themes. I started on the second series now. The books are well written with varied plots and a a few twists to keep it interesting. Occasionally i did find that some of the scenes are not realistically depicted so don't quite "gel" when reading but these are minor points. Overall good value and enjoyable.
Writer from the UK. if you read Adam Hall 'Quiller " MI6 books, these are much the same. Great read.
I have become an unabashed Tim Stevens fan. I prefer to get my action thrills from a book, rather than a movie or television screen, and these novels succeed in giving them. I am always on the lookout for his latest books. A solid 4.5 stars. If this genre is your cup of tea, you will not be disappointed.
I actuially got Ratcatcher from for free and after reading it wanted to read more by this author. I ended up buying this box set because it was cheaper than buying the two other books singly. I like thrillers -- Lee Child being a favorite -- and this series definitely fills the bill. I'm looking forward to upcoming books about John Purkiss. I highly recommend these if this genre is your cup of tea.
Any fans of spy/intrigue/action novels can grab a bargain in this three-book set. The storylines are mind-bending, Purkiss is a grand character, and I think your interest will stay focused to the last pages. My only criticism is the need for better editing, especially in DELIVERING CALIBAN, but don't let that keep you from reading Tim Stevens. He's a tremendous storyteller!
I've read the entire John Purkiss and Joe Venn series and am now working on the Martin Calvary series. Lots of action, intrigue, plot twists and suspense. It's nice to see fallible lead characters who aren't superhuman. There's not as much trade craft detailed but Tim Stevens is, in my view, as entertaining a writer of international intrigue as Robert Ludlum.
Three great spy thrillers "Ratcatcher" John Purkiss has arrived with a bang giving a serious challenge to Jason Bourne's crown. Any devotee of the genre who hasn't read these books is seriously missing out. Get them now and then get the next box set.
